Puzzle

Pixel Puzzles Mosaics is a really simple puzzle game, but I actually like how different it feels from a normal jigsaw. Instead of having a pile of loose pieces that I have to connect together, the whole mosaic is already laid out in front of me and I have to rearrange the mixed up tiles until the picture is correct. There are 34 mosaics in total, with different sizes and photographs to work through. I like that the basic idea is easy to understand straight away, so I can start solving without having to learn a complicated system. The actual puzzle design works well for me because I am looking at the whole image while trying to work out where each tile belongs. It feels more organised than a traditional jigsaw, and I can concentrate on colours, shapes and patterns rather than constantly searching around the screen for a piece that might fit. The larger mosaics can still take some patience, especially when there are similar looking parts of an image, but I think that is where most of the enjoyment comes from. I am slowly making sense of the picture rather than simply clicking through a list of objectives. I also like the relaxing atmosphere. There is no combat, timer or complicated…

Mosaics was a fun puzzle solving game. Even with being able to preview the image when ever you want, the complex pictures made the puzzles difficult. Had a blast!
