About Quest for the Golden Duck
Inspired by a classic game from the golden age of arcades, Quest for the Golden Duck allows you to bring up to 3 more friends in a co-op game. Or take control of the monsters in PvP game and prevent the other team from stealing all the gold from the castle.

Lured by rumors of untold treasures in an abandoned castle, you stumble upon a secret tunnel some prisoners used to escape from its dungeon. Your quest is to find the fabled Golden Duck, a magic artifact of unlimited power.

In versus games, players side with Team Heroes or Team Monsters. Heroes have to collect all the gold, while monsters have to chase them down before the time runs out. Players can use powerups to escape tough situations.

Ok, so they tried to give Pac-Man a campaign mode. I think they have achieved at least that. BUT sadly the controls are not precise enough for a Pac-Man game regarding the speed this game is set at. What's worse is: they got the control principles wrong (as did many ports in the past)! In classic Pac-Man you have to press ONCE to go in a specific direction and good ol' Paccy will not stop until he hits a wall or you (the player) reverse direction. Sadly, this is NOT the case with this game. Instead you have to keep your directional input pressed. Furthermore they messed up the cornering (one of - if not THE - essential thingyou have to have precise in Pac-Man games). Often enough you press too early (what isn't a problem in the original due to the mechanics I explained above) what results in your character going anywhere or changing movement heading directly into the enemy following you and loosing a life. Apart from that, one can see and feel they put quite a bit of work into the game, working out several new ideas and making okay-ish fantasy style graphics, music and sounds for the game. They could be better of course, but hey, it's indy and cheap, so I could get my head aroun…3 found this helpful
Very nice game. Would love to hear more sound effects like the gold being picked up.3 found this helpful
The game is fine for 2d platformer fans, though sometimes a bit too annoying with those dogs running too fast. The biggest problem that made me put aside this game after an hour of playing is that your progress is not saved, so if you die or decide to play it some other time, you'll have to start all over and pass the same levels you passed before2 found this helpful
It's fun to play in 4 on the couch on tv (connected to PC) with gamepads.
Pure nightmare fuel. Horrible, horrible sound, lousy animation, and the versus mode is impossible for the gold collectors because the monsters can simply camp on the coins. This game is not worth the mere $1 I spent and is nowhere near worth $10!
I do like this but the dogs and other things what ever they are, just a little too fast, would be better to slow them down a little, as with pacman you can only play this for so long, a good twist to the old style pacman though, would recommend if cheaper at £6.99 it's a little too steep for what it is, I would say more £1.99, I got mine in Indiegala so was cheap.
