Polary

The game looks fun and simple, but playing it is something else entirely. In the game you click on orange objects to earn a point, or very slightly darker orange which look almost identical to the orange to lose a point. Then there's black which won't go away if you hit it and if there are more than ten objects in total, not just orange you lose after three seconds. It sounds straightforward except the objects turn black at any given moment and stay like that for far longer than they should. By the time I'm into the 80s, I have at least 6 or 7 black objects in the map at any one time. The thing that makes this game irritating instead of enjoyable is the hit box, it's tiny, you need almost pinpoint accuracy to hit them. If you hate your hands and want arthritis, this is the game for you.

Polary is a very basic Unity asset flip, there's a basic game template for teaching developers how to make top down games, and a few developers rip it off directly and just make a couple of changes to make it into a "working" "game". Another example of this would be games like Feylin, also on Steam. I've seen about 4-5 games using this very basic template. This one has been changed only minimally to include a basic game loop where you click on orange shapes to destroy them, that's all there is to it. Incredibly shallow, lazy garbage that's been dumped on Steam as a cash grab. There's no serious value or merit for gamers in this pollution. It's just cluttering up the store. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. Great moving clicker game with a goal of achieving the highest score possible. You click on moving orange objects for points and if you click on the red objects you lose a point. Each missed click with also result in points being deducted. Overall this game is fun and good to train your reflexes. Overall rating 9/10 based on price, length and amount of times you will replay this game.

For its price its not the worst game in the world. That being said its not really a game, but more of a glorified aim trainer with added physics. Something about the game made me get to 1000, which was difficult because it doesnt really explain anything to you. If the dev adds even a bit of text this could be a good aim trainer

[h1] Isabelle Reviews...[/h1] Personally I wouldn't call Polary a game, but a tool to improve your reactionary skills for games such as the FPS genre. The goal is to clear the orange targets which give you points while avoiding the red targets which take away points. The reaction skills come into play with the black targets which periodically switch to orange. In all Polary is fun to play if your looking to improve those skills however alone I can't really see the enjoyment out of it. The price point is perfect for what it is and would recommend a buy if like I said your looking to improve your reaction skills for another game.
