I'd recommend it because of the good ideas, but the downsides are the sluggish movement and the feeling that you're about to hit the enemy but a rock on the ground stops you, raising you slightly or preventing you from reaching the enemy altogether. I don't know why, but when I play it, I feel uneasy for some reason. However, the upsides are that I love the silly storyline, the voice acting, and how you choose a character with unique traits.

Very bad combat feel and this is the main feature of the game. Repeating enemies, spongy hp bars, unbalanced encounters, random enemy spawns without a reason and so much more....Also the progression is too slow for a game that demanding. My final score is 4/10 because the idea is great, the challenge is there and there are some fun encounters and dialogues in between.

I actually really like this game. the mechanics are fun, the atmosphere is great, graphics are decent especially for a essentially indie game. However, if you get on a dying streak, there is no going back. the game keeps stacking against you, basically like capitalism. very slow progress but the base play was enjoyable enough that I was willing to endure, until one mess up that sent me on a dying streak of angry gods and f*k*d stats. serious design flaw. kills the otherwise very good game. If a player is struggling, much like a person, do not beat them down more. That discurages progress. give a helping hand and see what they do. I truly wish i could recommend this game, I was genuinely enjoying it.

was not a big fan of the navi companion, sure she mostly shuts up after but she still talks, like... this is a soul/roguelike, let me just play it. none of this "oh your hurt, better heal." when i have no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ heals

I love this game! When i think of hidden gems, i think of this game. I really loved the world, style and how it all felt very oddworld inspired, while being its own thing. The gameplay while a tad clunky was no worse then other souls-like games, including Lords of the Fallen or The Surge. It has excellent rouge-lite systems, and all the characters are well voice acted. The story was interesting and progresses as you enter each new floor through audio logs from a previous troll. This game was a ton of fun and I often check the dev page to see if they made anything new. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME if you want a very odd souls-lite adventure, and bring your Bongo for heals ;)
