[b]OVERALL: 5/10[/b] Mildly diverting, but lacks depth and gets numbingly repetitive after a while. There is literally no other mechanic outside of just endlessly matching until you eventually run out of HP, which is ultimately down to RNG. Without any sort of meaningful meta progression system, it feels a bit pointless. Worth trying when on sale, as it is a small step up from most other match-3 games, but nowhere near the top of the genre.
Played the original Dungeon Raid back on iOS years ago. Damn near wore a grid into my touchscreen playing. Still has the same hilarious combos you can unlock. :D
This game filled a void that's been in my soul for around a decade. It's everything I ever dreamed of. One of the best roguelikes ever made, as far as I'm concerned.
Enjoyable match 3 with roguelike elements, gets pretty hard on the harder difficulties, there are various classes and loadouts that extend the replayability. The developer is very flexible, they implemented plenty of community suggestions already! (the clickable status windows on the side were community suggestions)
