Celestial Crowns

Excellent writing, voice acting, and music! You can rename the MC, choose a masc or fem presenting sprite, choose between two voices (MC is voiced!), pick your pronouns, and choose the honorific that the NPCs will use for your royal. Plus the dialogue choices you make will help determine the personality your royal presents. All the LIs are interesting and varying shades of sweet. Though I have to admit I've been over the moon for Lune since I first tried the demo <3

Good game, a bit uneven but still worth a try. I was a Kickstarter backer and don't regret backing. The main draw of Celestial Crowns is its choice system. Choices can have up to 10 options (there's usually fewer), connected to 9 different stats. Unfortunately, it's a bit less in-depth than I really expected. This isn't really a political sim or anything like that, and as far as I can tell, your stats in the different attributes [i]don't[/i] directly affect what ending you can get (although they [i]can[/i] affect which choices you have available). It's still pretty impressive, especially compared to most visual novels, but I would recommend going into this game thinking of it as a regular VN with an abnormally high amount of choice options rather than a stat-raiser. Something else I didn't expect and was surprised by is that [spoiler]the appearance you pick affects what anatomy your character has during sex scenes (I'm used to games either giving you a choice or keeping it vague if there isn't a fixed MC), regardless of the pronouns/gendered terms you pick[/spoiler]. Haven't played it for long just yet, but I really am enjoying what I see and it kind of reminds me of the old Sierra games. Can't wait to explore further

I can't believe there aren't more reviews because this VN is fantastic. Hands down one of the best I have ever played. All the characters are unique with so much depth. Character interactions are very authentic and often endearing. I love the fact that morality for the MC is quite a choice and the other characters aren't your typical lawful good. Morally grey characters are a tasty treat! Shaping your personality is an awesome touch too. Honestly the only thing I was sad about was that some of the endings are a bit short and I would have loved to hang out with the LI a bit longer and seen more of their life after. DLC maybe?
