Pentasma, developed by Hijong Park and published by PsychoFlux Entertainment, is a side-scrolling arcade shooter that fully embraces the spirit of classic gaming, delivering a fast, skill-driven experience built around reflexes, precision, and constant motion. Wow! This is pretty similar and as good as the original DEFENDER by Atari - and it got some extras and new features. Love it! Lots of fun. Pretty tough just like the original. It's getting tense soon. ;-) Nice: there are several game modes where some parameters are varied and there is even one where you can alter them, for example the number of ships/lives - helpful for beginners. Recommended! Big thanks to the developers! BTW: Playing it on the Steam Deck. Deck's gamepad works perfectly (Controls set to XInput).

This is a superb DEFENDER clone. I loved this game when I was a kid and this is easily the best replica I've found. One mode is an almost perfect replica of the arcade version, although personally I'd say it's a bit less hard (but you can tweak the settings to make it harder). The other mode adds new aliens, boss levels, ship upgrades and other features to make it more interesting without spoiling the basic game. Compared to some other games I've bought this is a bargain!

Sure is a blast from the past of older games that I loved to play with almost full on action from the start of the game.

From what my brother said, this is basically exactly the same game as Offendron Warrior. I don't really have much to add to that.
