The game is alright, but there feels like a lack of weapons Not to mention, when you die, it is hell of a slog to get back to where you were. I enjoyed what I played, but I found that once my weapons were maxed out, I was waiting for it to end. The sanguine gems we collect seem to be given in small quantities compared to how far you can progress in just your first run alone. I got to the industrial area boss with three damage upgrades and two extra weapon slots, only to be given 31 gems. This allowed me to get to five strength upgrades. After almost completing the game on the third run, I had now upgraded 11 times out of the 80+ upgrades. There was also no story or lore to describe why or how we got here, I'd personally like to know, but I'm not entirely sure if that's what people look for in this genre.

This roguelike shooter doesn’t waste time trying to dazzle with story. In fact, the narrative is so barebones that you're better off reading the brief description on the Steam page—if you even care. The game is laser-focused on gameplay, and it makes that clear from the first moment. The controls are simple: move, dash, shoot. That’s it. And that’s all you need. The game drops you into a restricted arena and challenges you to survive increasingly aggressive waves of enemies. The pacing ramps up quickly; early waves trickle in, but soon enough, enemies spawn in overwhelming numbers, punishing sloppy aim. What keeps this from becoming a mindless run-and-gun, though, is the stamina system. Shooting drains it slowly, while dashing consumes a big chunk. It refills quickly, but not quickly enough to let you mindlessly spam your way through combat. Every shot counts, and every dash has to be timed. Defeated enemies drop coins, which you must physically collect before they vanish—a clever risk-reward mechanic that forces you to stay mobile and constantly balance aggression with survival. good concept, like most rogue-likes, but the combat in this feels rather clunky and sluggish, may just be my personal preference, but I feel like it needs a bit more work, make the combat a bit more fluid, and maybe add an auto aim?

Pretty good considering the price.
