About Journey to New Atlantis
Journey to New Atlantis is a post-apocalyptic adventure game that follows Lana and her friend Marco in their quest to find water for Lana’s ill grandfather, in a world almost completely dried up. Lana’s grandfather tells them of an oasis city called New Atlantis, and the two children will need to brave sandstorms, roving bands of survivors, and traverse wonderful landscapes that show humankind’s effect on the environment.
A point-and-click adventure set in a post-apocalyptic world, the game shows the effects of human industry on the planet and educates them that anyone can contribute to a different, better tomorrow. Journey to New Atlantis will lead the player through encounters like jumping off skyscrapers buried in the sand with a dune buggy, walk through a gigantic spaceship that has crashed through a mountain, and outrun men dressed in armadillo armor made from salvaged scrap metal. Each encounter will feature puzzles that focus on logic skills appropriate for the age range, as the game has received extensive consulting from a child and family development specialist.

This game had a number of pro's: good graphics, nice gameplay (and certainly not boring), Nice story, strong environmental message. Unfortunately, there are too many bugs. There is a problem with double clicking: Sometimes the character starts to run (as is the intention), sometimes not. After the third episode the game goes back to the map, without any options to go forward, so that's it for the game. Support from the devs is slow. Got a nice mail from the devs to apologize, but apparently they haven't got much time.5 found this helpful
Seems lovely, but it's utterly broken. Many clicks don't register. Worse, after quitting and coming back, the loaded game isn't functional: Every thing must be redone. On top of that, 1 of the 2 protagonists is a dead sprite. He stays behind, doesn't talk, thus all triggers are messed up and the game is simply blocked. What a pathetic mess. No fixes in view. Zero support. Looks like a scam to me. Come out devs, don't make me find you.3 found this helpful
