Disaster Detective Saiga: An Indescribable Mystery

Very fun game.

Light-hearted, humorous VN that follows the misadventures of a comically unfortunate detective. It's not really a detective game, but it's a pretty good story. It's important to note that the game was designed to be played using a controller, including minigames designed as such. It is possible to play on keyboard but for some reason the menu button is backspace.

I enjoyed my time with Disaster Detective Saiga. I "tried" it before I bought it since I'm wary of non-otome visual novels being gross ecchi stories about a sad dude and some woman that attaches herself to him. This however is about a disaster prone sad dude and a very not sexualized woman that attaches herself to him and how he is just over everything. He takes her case, being a detective, and the story unfolds. It unfolds into A̴͉͎̍̓n̵̖͋̈́ ̴͓̀I̴͚̳͑ǹ̵̹̚d̵̳̈́͛ē̵͖s̶̩͓̍c̴̹̼̄r̷̝̩͊i̴̟̤̓ḃ̸̨͝a̵̝̓b̸̪̓͐l̶̥̦̿̍e̵͕̯͐̅ ̷̨͚͗̽S̷̹͂ț̴̦̾̾ô̷̢̯r̵̯͊y̶̧͙͝ Pros: The game is very story focused and character focused and less about "antics" No ecchi No real damseling of the female character. (Saiga is honestly too inept to save her.) Focuses on the story and less on trying to hook up the two main leads Pazuzu! Would like to see more from these creators. And more Saiga and Hin Rei. Cons: The two kids: The girl wants to marry Saiga and is jealous of Hin Rei. I hate girl hate and this kid is 10. This is only saved by Saiga treating her as 10 and wanting her to just buzz off and go to school or something. The boy that just invites himself into everything. He's the one that invokes the con below. …
