Codename: Terranova

its a solid indie and very entertaining game for 2 people. But you should only play this with friends who are into escape room and puzzle games. otherwise you might never talk to that friend ever again :D Also replay value of the game is none existent. This is my honest review. Eventhough no one might read this, I still hope it is helpful for the developers to improve this game.

Not fun. Annoying drones, boring operator's gameplay.

I've held off on reviewing this game for a while, because it had so much potential, but it felt very unfinished and had almost zero replay value. After the new 2.0 update, I can confidently say; this game is great, it has a LOT more replay value, and I'm very excited to see what comes next. Here's how I'd explain Terranova. Imagine "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes", but the aesthetics are much more computer-y and tech related. Kind of similar to "HEX: Hacking Simulator" if you've ever played that. Now take "HEX: Hacking Simulator", make the modules a little bit simpler, but a LOT more of them. Tons of variety. Now put one of the players in an actual 3D space. As of the 2.0 update, that's basically what Terranova is. Compared to previous versions, each level still has a general layout of which puzzles you can expect to find, and when. That said, on every attempt, most puzzle locations will be slightly different, and the answers will be unique as well. Sometimes you'll even spawn in a COMPLETELY different type of car, which is sick. Each time you attempt a level, you have to REALLY play the level. You can't memorize the solution from last time; Everything's changed. Figure…

So bummed this game was never really completed. My brother and I had a lot of fun with it even it in its limited pre-release state, and I hoped it would get some major content updates before its release. Sadly, that hasn't really happened, and the current state of the game is almost the same as when we began playing it. It definitely has some bugs and issues that can make some parts difficult to get through or downright unplayable. That being said, the actual game is very fun. The puzzles are unique and interesting. There is a good level of challenge, and a fair amount of replay-ability. I do recommend it, but not for the price in its current state. If it goes on sale, pick it up! You'll definitely enjoy it. Otherwise maybe pass on this one.

The game and concept was somewhat fun, i remember my brother and i having fun, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut... we are achievement hunters and completionists at heart. And these achievements are ridiculous. Cheated all of them in, i am not gonna sit here and play this monotone game for another 50h grinding them chievies. 7/10
