Words of Wisdom

"Words of Wisdom" is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro pixel platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This one is differentiated by including a riddle at the beginning of each level, unfortunately the developers have a very poor grasp of the English language, making the riddles sometimes extremely difficult because they just don't make sense due to the gibberish translation. You also have the ability to move platforms around sometimes. Otherwise, there's nothing of value for gamers here, it's just more pixelcrap shovelware. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will loo…

It is a short little puzzler. I am not going to pretend like I played similar games before but I heard they used to make these way back. I knew what I was buying but I was stuck for a while on 1 puzzle. You will be doing some platforming also but the game never throws too many platforming sections at you. Puzzles are not too easy, you will be given a riddle of some sort at the beginning of every level and than you are on your own. Look if you played games like this one before it might not be for you, Ii had a blast playing it. Really couldn't find anything wrong with it.

Well worth buying. A cleverly made and fun game with a sense of humor. Short but sweet. It keeps the variety going from start to finish.

I love riddles and I love platformers. This was a great combination of both! But it was definitely on the short side. You can beat it in less than an hour easily, so it's probably a good game for about a buck.
