A very unique gem of a run & gun game!!

This fantastic game and more on Hardcore Reviews! ⚡
Raimodula is a fast run and gun shooter with a very unique pixel art style. The colors and pixelart visuals stand out a lot, giving the game a strong identity that feels different from most indie titles. A fantastic run and gun to play both alone or with a friend! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3772300846 Gameplay is simple but solid. You move, shoot, dodge, and react fast. There are two characters with different styles: one is faster and more agile, the other hits harder but feels slower. There are upgrades and different weapons. This adds some variety and replay value. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3772301110 The game can get quite challenging, especially in some platforming sections and boss fights. It’s not a long or complex game, but it’s fun, direct, and works well. If you like classic arcade shooters, this is an easy recommendation. https://youtu.be/n6P8BOKBw7s Thanks for reading!17 found this helpful
Wow. Nice. This game is Radical. This game does something very simple in that it gives you tools that are fun to use and situationally good, and yet so many modern platformers don't do this. Good design like this always puts in the work and it's refreshing to see. I am also a diehard believer that platformers giving the player vector-based targeting is always a mistake and this game feels like it proves that point extremely hard. There's a lot of cool movement and positioning that you need to do to use your tools effectively and it's very simple but very satisfying.2 found this helpful
This game is the most fun I had in a long time playing video games. Highly recommend! Strong Super Probotector / Contra vibes on surface level, yet with it's own unique game machanic twists and striking art stile. The game is a Roguelite (randomized levels, permadeath), with two very different player characters, tons of weapon configurations options for many different playstyles and lots of replayability. Being able to play it coop is the cherry on top!2 found this helpful
"Should we recommend him Assault Suit Ranger X: Final 3 on the front page?" "No, hit him with another Early Access survival craft." - Satan, circa 2023 Criminally underrated. Looking forward to Exobrave. e: It even has ending CG. Find of the year.1 found this helpful
A very unique run n' gun game and I'm looking forward to what the devs are cooking up next.1 found this helpful
Raimodula is a zero nonsense videogame. You choose your preffered weapons and stats, start a run, and that's it. There are no crazy synergies to be found mid-run, or anything at all. You just jump n' shoot, trying your best not to get hit for a better score. Good scores are needed to reach the true final area. If you're done with games playing themselves because you got lucky and RNG gave you a bunch of great items, or if you're tired of reading descriptions upon descriptions of weapon modifiers that don't end up mattering at all, this is your game. The randomized elements work like this: There are a couple of areas, and a couple of bosses and minibosses. Each area contains a bunch of premade screens that will be given to you randomly. Each area also has a unique arena for the randomly assigned boss you might get, based on its platforming identity (such as an area with underwater sections having a partially flooded arena for x boss, or fully flooded if it's y boss). It's great. I'm looking forward to the developer's next game.
