Vex Clock

Some of my favourite environments in all of indie games!!! The use of lighting and shadow is totally unmatched. Holy crap it just makes me feel so cool to play with all the different combat styles!!

Cute indie game. While it is a short game (around 3,5 hours) with short levels, it has its charm. its basically an action game with third-person melee/unaimed ranged combat and aiming brings it to a sort of first-person perspective. Its a good few short levels with checkpoints halfway the level and if you die, you redo the part since the start/checkpoint. The art-style can be seen in the trailer and screenshots and surprisingly does give it a sort of unique feel (even though you would think the big square head thing has been done a good few times before). The combat starts off quite slow and half of the first playthrough you might feel like its just either simple sidestepping or a matter of bashing the enemy and hoping he dies before you do. This all changes once your characters start getting a few more skills. There is well enough enemy and environment varierty though I did feel like the small amount of platformer parts it has were more luck than full control :D Did find a lack of gameplay/keybind/video settings to be annoying but managed to live with it easy enough. The game does have replayability as new game + mode exists, multiple difficulty modes and a randomizer mode. So…

although it may not be what people typically expect of dave due to his primarily horror-based catalogue of games/projects, I do encourage people to check out Vex Clock regardless. the game's good fun, lots of pretty environments, good soundtrack, has plenty to unlock (primarily outfits for the playable characters or achievements), and has a good bit of replayability (in part thanks to the unlockable NG+ and randomizer modes) the game has a respectable amount of options, and any option in their respective settings menu is able to be changed at any time- including game difficulty and QoL features such as the health UI and the ability to switch between press-and-hold or press-to-toggle for a couple of binds. however, there are no customizable keybinds and the audio settings is pretty lacking (being just a couple sliders for BGM and SFX) I found the character interactions are pretty nice, the story is cohesive and has interesting elements, though keep in mind the story elements aren't very strong; the multiple endings are decided through who you bond with by choosing who to take with you on split-path missions, but the stages, order of missions, and length of the game are the same re…

Very good shooter and platformer. so far having tons of fun the 2nd boss lowkey pretty hard but its a good challenge! for Mr Microwaves first steam launch I would say more people should recogize this game and play it cause i bet they'll like it. oh! and tons of post game stuff to do. going for all the endings and costumes. The New Game+ Hard mode if you havent even started it. And even freeplay! Dave Microwaves games as always has done it again Good job to you sir. Can't wait for Dave.EXE to come out to steam aswell

Game isn't my cup of tea, but I just love Dave Microwaves Games!!!!
