Clocker is a time manipulating puzzle game that is often compared to Braid. However, it’s also a bit different. Braid gives you puzzle rooms with little context, you’re only supposed to figure out how to get the puzzle pieces. With Clocker, you are observing a town with NPC living their lives. You’re given context based on what the NPC are doing/saying and the situations they’re in. Often times you know what you’re supposed to do but you need to experiment in such a way to get the desired outcome. I find this way of using time manipulation better and more intuitive but the developer fumbles with executing some elements. Clocker also has a story that is presented more clearly and is shown through simple cutscenes instead of most of it written in text. There are 3 chapters, one is of medium length that is the tutorial, the second is the meat of the game with most of the content playing out in a town and chapter 3 is a short chapter focused on ending the game in one of the two endings based on what you did previously. You control the father and then you control the daughter in all the 3 chapters. The game has some really beautiful artwork. The way the colours are used feels like a p…3 found this helpful

Clocker, developed by Wild Kid Games and published in collaboration with indienova, is a quiet yet emotionally resonant puzzle adventure that explores the relationship between time, memory, and family. At its core, it tells the story of a father and daughter separated by a mysterious temporal disturbance, and the player’s task is to guide them toward reunion through a series of intricate time-based puzzles. Rather than relying on dialogue-heavy storytelling, Clocker uses its mechanics and atmosphere to express emotion, creating a narrative that unfolds organically through the player’s actions. The concept is both intimate and ambitious, blending heartfelt storytelling with a mechanical complexity that challenges the mind as much as it tugs at the heart. The game begins with a clockmaker father who, through his experiments, accidentally alters the flow of time in his world. His pocket watch, a symbolic and literal embodiment of time’s fragility, becomes the key to manipulating the environment and solving puzzles. The world around him is frozen in stasis, and by using the watch’s power, the player can fast-forward or rewind the lives of the people and objects suspended in this momen…

Story-wise was great but felt very 'half-baked' in the end
