JDM: Japanese Drift Master

Summary: The car's handling is difficult but satisfying when you learn. Graphics are good enough to be real photos. Car selection is not massive but it is thought out. Game has bugs but so far things are getting fixed when reported. Community is great! Have you ever just wanted to drift up and down mountains? See if you have what it takes to handle a beast when it screeches? This is not a racing game where you memorize the road, find the shortcut or even finish first and the finish line. This is all about drifting! You get scored based on drifting, not whoever crosses that finish line first. Let’s be honest, there are so many car games out there with the same product, fast cars win first place. However, this felt different, the handling was so bad to get used to, but that's how it was supposed to be! This game gives you more settings on HOW to drive the car than any other car game I’ve played. Suspension in this game is not just a visual. Tire alignment is not just cosmetic. I tried to like the game, I really did, but there are a few gripes I have with it that keep me away from playing it much. The opponents' AI is just bad... they have unrealistic grip and acceleration that come out of seemingly thin air, until they spin out or drive into the wall two seconds later. It makes the races a slog to get through on the "hard difficulty", where you just have to rely on them deciding to paul-walker themselves if you want to win, or switch to the medium difficulty and turn basically every non-scripted race into a time-trial because your opponents' rubber-banding has been reduced (which is the only reason they can keep up in any sort of way). The rest of the game, such as the delivery missions and the drifting (bar the tandem events, which struggle from the same issue I mentioned earlier) are fine. There don't seem to be any proximity modifiers, e.g. drifting closer to the wall does not give you more points or increase your modifier, so most such events in the city part of the map are reduced to just sanpatsu-ing along the straights to farm points, which I find boring after a while. Alright game but things need big improvements and the map is just boring & small

So, after almost compleating every achievement (i just have to do the 1500 km one), i can say that i really enjoyed the game, i liked almost every axpect but there's a lil problem at least for what i experienced, the story part translation. I'm from Italy and after playing a pretty big part of the game in italian i forced myself to play it in english coz the dialogs didn't make any sense. I really like this game but that, for me, was a thing that made the enjoyement of the story a lil bit worse. I'm still loking forward for the next updates tho, can't wait to see what the developers will add in the future. (Sorry for my bad english)
