Still no offline mode. Supposedly they're working on it, but we all know it's never happening. Prove me wrong KT Racing/Nacon. Prove me wrong.

This game is freaking good, the way you're actually able to view cars as you would in real life like going to an actual dealership and buying them from their, inspecting it down to the last detail is an insane feature for a driving game. Would highly recommend to new players.

I still have TDU2 on my PC which I play once in a while. The view of the world is wide, the roads goes far in the distance, the feeling of speed is great. It's simple yet loaded with races and activities which takes quiet a long time to go through. Solar crown for me is very disappointing for many reasons. The first is everything feels "near", there's a lack of depth and distance in the world, like the 3D model of the whole map is too small to give the impression of driving in a big world, thus the lack of speed experience. The second is the fact that you need a computer built tomorrow with the best hardware possible to handle the more than necessary extra details. It's a big mistake too many game developers make; they create games that only play well with the most recent and highest performance hardware available. For that reason, I can only play this game at the lowest graphic settings, even though I can play other games published during the same year or a bit earlier at higher graphic settings. [h2]A work-in-progress review of Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown[/h2] [h3][b]TL;DR[/b] - For those who enjoy driving around, cruising the highways, enjoying the road... TDU Solar Crown offers an experience not so different from the driving in something like Euro/American Truck Sim. But with cars.[/h3] [b][u]The Long[/u][/b] Take my thoughts, opinions and remarks as if they were a very large chunk of salt. These are thoughts and opinions based on my first 10 hours of playing the game, which is not much in comparison with the type of game where one will spend hundreds and thousands of hours. One cannot come across TDU:SC and not notice the low rating. So, why am I recommending it? Here are the two reasons, that include some context: 1. I have no real prior experience, or expectations, from having played previous titles. Last time I played a Test Drive, it was 5... sometime around 1999-2000. And that was a couple hours at most. Never played any of the Unlimited series of TD, can't remember if I might have tried a demo of the first TDU, probably. 2. I have always prefered games within the 'simulation' category; such as Gran Turismo, Euro/American Truck Simulator …

Typical poorly optimized UE5 slop. This game turns my PC into a space heater. It's too bad because it is kinda fun even though it is VASTLY inferior to TDU 1 and 2. Still lots of things missing though that were in TDU 1 and 2. Player housing being the biggest thing but they're still planning to add that in season 8. Even if they add player housing, it's hard for me to recommend such a broken game with no sign of them ever working on how poorly this game utilizes your hardware.
