It's been a number of decades, since I last really got into a point and click adventure. I saw this, ages ago, and was tempted - and so I got it finally. Without spoiling the story, I have cried playing this, as it hits home to me. Like, okay - there's no literal aliens in my life, but as a father, raising twins, yeah... The story is good, the graphics are charming, and remind me of my childhood. Puzzles weren't super hard, but that's good too, as I'll be honest, the universe has moved on since Secret of Monkey Island, Full Throttle and Day of the Tentacle. But this stands shoulder to shoulder with those in my opinion.

Elroy and the Aliens was a really pleasant surprise for me and definitely feels like one of those hidden gems that deserves a bit more attention. It has a colourful art style, fully voice-acted characters and puzzles that gave me just enough of a challenge to keep me engaged. The art style immediately stood out to me. Everything is so colourful and cheerful, which gives the game a really happy atmosphere. It made exploring the world enjoyable and gave the whole adventure its own personality. I absolutely loved that the game is fully voice-acted. It adds so much to a point-and-click adventure, especially when you're spending a lot of time talking to different characters and exploring their stories. The voice acting made the experience feel much more lively. The puzzles were another highlight for me. They were fun and challenging without becoming frustrating, which is exactly what I want from this kind of game. The overall story was probably the weakest part for me. It wasn't particularly surprising and I could see some things coming, so it didn't leave quite the same impression as the gameplay and presentation. That said, it didn't stop me from having a good time. Sometimes a …

I played the demo of this game previously, and loved it so much I bought it. While I haven't finished it yet, it's a relaxing and very well done story with a classic Sierra point and click system with vivid visuals which keeps me coming back for more. Definitely recommended.

Very enjoyable game! Great characters and interesting/creative story line. Helpful, realistic and humorous dialogue. Nice amount of puzzles that were challenging but not frustrating. Flow of the game was good. I had trouble stopping playing from time to time as was eager to see what was next but did not want adventure to be over. Loved art work and color scheme. Got emotionally invested in honest, dedicated, hardworking Elroy and found a few tears in my eyes when he was reunited with his dad.
