About Sort Battle: Dungeon

Sort monsters. Then battle them in the order you chose. Open chests for upgrades. Finish the dungeon to gain powerful new swords, chestplates, and amulets.

Find more maps to tougher dungeons. Upgrade your character, combine old items to forge new ones, and finally defeat the Vampire Queen.

That's it. Sort Battle: Dungeon is simple and fun, the kind of game that you will play late into the night.

Hi, I'm Thom Robertson, and I made Sort Battle: Dungeon because I thought that sorting was inherently fun, and I wanted to explore that fun within the context of
a videogame. Putting things in bins; sorting the cups in the cupboard; eating all the red jellybeans first. These are sorting behaviors we all do, generally speaking.
I wanted to see if it was "videogame" fun, and I had a vision in my head of an array of monsters that the player could drag and sort. So I built a prototype, and
my first few testers were very pleased, so I proceeded to make this game.

The gameplay was already thin for the price, but the idea was interesting enough to give it a try. Unfortunately I ran into a game breaking bug early on. I posted about it on the forum, but the developer never responded and there have been no updates. Sadly I have to recommend avoiding this one.

There just is almost nothing TO this game. Sorting enemies to take them in a certain order SOUNDS intriguing until you realize that no enemies have any special abilities. They just have health, damage and an affinity/type which is affected by buff chests. There are only a handful of enemies, each repeated a few times per dungeon and the dungeons just repeat forever exactly the same but with slightly higher of the two numbers on the enemies. This might be worth a buck or two but at 10 USD it's nowhere near worth buying. It's barely worth playing
