About Trigger Witch

Recalling the visual style and intuitive gameplay of 16-bit action-adventure classics, Trigger Witch puts an ultra-violent spin on cute and colorful pixel art. With a compelling and original narrative, puzzling environments to explore, a dynamic soundtrack, twin-stick shooter mechanics and a vast array of enemies to blast into smithereens, this is a tale that will grip you from start to bloody finish.

Trigger Witch is a stylized 2D twin-stick action game set in an odd open world where magic is outdated and firearms are the new way of life. Players assume the role of Colette, a prospective graduate from the Stock, an academy for Witchcraft and Triggery. After a mysterious man invades her realm, events are set in motion that turn Colette’s life upside-down, casting her as the sole heroine with enough firepower to restore peace.

Features

  • Explore an open world in classic action-adventure style!
  • Wield and upgrade new firearms as you progress.
  • Meet strange and endearing characters through engaging dialogue.
  • Blast monsters back to their rightful plane of existence in bloody fashion!
  • Solve environmental puzzles and overcome obstacles in clever ways.
  • Play solo or multiplayer at any time, with drop-in local co-op.

You don't need to cast fireball when you can shoot them with your 44 and then burn them alive with a flamethrower

Its a really fun game. Top bottom shooter but you feel like its the classic Zelda from the super nintendo. Its a bit short, but for me its worth its money. I use Linux Mint, and it works fine for me with no issues.

Cute little twin stick shooter with the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane pivot turn ending of all time.

The gunplay is good but it's one those "Where the hell do I go" of game. Gotta find the right key for the right door so there's lot of backtrack in a dungeon. The story is not interesting and I don't know why the developers chose this setting (Western teenage witches). The story isn't interesting at all, it just seems like the developers wanted to tell jokes about how funny it would be for witches to use guns and kill cute things. The music is good, but I wish the music transition between overworld and combat was less jarring. Probably won't finish it due to being stuck in the first dungeon (where do I go?) and not liking to backtrack so much, but it's still a well done good game that you probably will enjoy if you like 2D zelda games and twin stick shooters. (Before you comment "git good", no I don't particularely like metroidvanias. I still bought the game because it's looked like a good twinstick shooter, which it is, but the flavor is diluted too much by all the backtracking)

Top down Zelda with a gun. 10/10, final boss is the best one

I really enjoyed this game, it's like a light Legend of Zelda game, mixed with a twin stick shooter, with some shmup sections. The story was pretty cool and kept me interested through the whole game. The default to kills is blood splatter and bit but you can change it to confetti, which I did, just because it seemed to fit the look better. I pretty much played this nonstop until I beat it and there's a new game + too, which I always enjoy having. Some light puzzles, not very difficult but not really easy either, I played on normal and it seemed pretty well balanced to me. Overall a unique, fun game that took me about 8 hours to beat, I wandered quite a bit but not everywhere so you could have less or more time depending on how you play. I really enjoyed this game and recommend it to anyone that thinks they'll like a game like I described.
