I like Cyber Cult City. I recorded some of my progress in Cyber Cult City. Who would have thought! Cyber Cult City is sort of a Cyberpunk take on Streets of Rogue, but faster, and neo drenched, and rocking a hover board. You can hack cars, cyborgs, and lots of other electrical objects using battery charges to set traps for your foe, making your task of knocking them over and taking their stuff easier. Very cautious thumbs up, has a bunch of cool ideas and I think it has its merits, but it's all over the place. The UI is confusing and way too cumbersome and a lot of stuff is not properly explained and needs some experimentation. Searching through every last nook and cranny of every level to check if you haven't missed an item or upgrade can be fun at first, but becomes pretty tedious eventually. You can opt to not do that, but then you run the risk of being under powered for later. Runs can drag on quite long (due to a lot of time spent just searching through every level) and death can come pretty swiftly. At one point unexpectedly died to a specific bullet when I still had 60% hp (although it previously only dealt 10% damage if I recall correctly). The perks you can get for your weapons are pretty cool and let you become pretty overpowered. So when you got a good run going it can be fun to just stomp everything. But the drone for example just breaks too easily and is far too expensive to repair, I think I spent pretty much all game with the drone just broken. Each of its procedurally generated areas represents a single cult-controlled city block, and it’s your job as the Mayor of Cyber Cult City to stomp out cultists and save the citizens. Every level is a little sandbox that provides a basic objective and then sets you loose to approach it any way you see fit. You might be tracking down hostages in one map, or destroying cloning facilities in another. And this isn’t just a run-and-gun shooter - you can get some help and hints from loyal citizens, hack cars to send them careening towards your enemies, bat bullets away with your sword, or just spend some time fooling around and landing some sick jumps on your hoverboard. Hidden gem!

Challenging action roguelike that gives you options on how you want to approach objectives and combat. Classes, secrets, side quests, upgrades and lots of neon. Keanu Reaves repeating "Cyberpunk!!!" in my mind on repeat throughout most of my playthrough, YMMV.

Developed by Ouch Giver Games, C.C.C. is very reminiscent of Jydge, and Hotline Miami, although with a far more forgiving gameplay than the last one. Cyber Cult City is a cyberpunk style top down shooter. You have a varied arrangement of weapons at your disposal to complete missions, including an extremely satisfying hack system, if you can pull it off at the right time. The game is divided by levels and each one will take around 5 to 10 minutes to finish, depending on how quick you are. The only thing I couldn't figure out is how to enter the helicopter, once said mission is finished, and I had press all the buttons on the S.D. until the character finally left the level. This is no fault of the game and I must have missed the prompt where that mechanic is explained. The intro area seems to have a problem on Steam Deck, although I couldn't figure out why, since the rest of the game runs perfectly. I can recommend you to try, especially if you like top down shooter and due to how much content you have here.
