Too many game-breaking bugs at this time. 2nd phase of a flying boss and their bullets were invisible. Happened twice as well as the black screen errors.1 found this helpful
Beat first boss, asked if I wanted to skip cutscene, I said no. Was greeted by a black screen, stuck there, nothing worked, had to close the game. Reloaded, all my junk and the two gold coins I collected were wiped. 0/10 would not do again1 found this helpful
The gameplay itself is overall very fun, but there are too many really bad bugs to recommend at this point. Some bugs I've come across: * Phasing through walls and getting stuck outside the map- ruins the run * Invisible obstacles that block movement * Gas mask passive item doesn't seem to work at all * The gas slowdown effect glitching and becoming permanent, ruining the run * Game menus freezing up in the middle of a run- have to force quit the game * Not able to leave the room after clearing a level and unlocking the door- have to go back to the hub Some constructive feedback: * Coins are pretty useless at this point as the item selection from the vendor is pretty underwhelming. More vendor choices would be nice. * It's currently not worth trying the slot machine at this point, due the aforementioned uselessness of coins and the risk of damage. * On the third floor, there's a clown car looking enemy that jumps at you from the other side of the map outside your range of vision faster than a bullet and is almost impossible to counter. I would suggest reducing the range of its attack so the player can actually see it charging up for the attack. * The miniboss fights could use so…1 found this helpful
Cyberwar: Neon City is a fantastic mix of pixel art action and comic-style storytelling. The roguelite structure (die, upgrade, retry) keeps you hooked, while the neon aesthetic and 80s/90s anime vibes make it stand out. Combat feels fast and punishing but rewarding, and the world-building is surprisingly deep – from experiments gone wrong to primates ruling the city. A stylish and addictive experience for fans of retro-inspired roguelikes. I can't recommend it enough as it is a very good game!1 found this helpful
The game is fantastic!! The graphics, the gameplay, the story... The game is a lot of fun, very intuitive, and it's really hard to stop playing. The maps change a lot, and the play style is mind-blowing.1 found this helpful
This game has so much going for it and so much fighting it. The hack games are annoying, the sound design is good in places and flat in others. There is a chest mechanic that gives you currency and doesn't even give clinking noises or anything else when throwing money at you. So much talking taking away from the game, when i started I just wanted to fight, but a million characters to talk to stopping you from getting in action. Then when I start the actual game the first level i get 2 fight only in two rooms total due to annoying random options being thrown at me. The pixel graphics are top notch and the fighting is ok, I want to give this a positive review, you really should try it on your own. But too many little things that drive me crazy. I would love to sit down with the devs an hour and play the game with them and give feedback.
