The Last Plague: Blight

This game is definitely not for everyone, but I'm absolutely hooked and eager to see it reach 1.0 The pace of gameplay is VERY slow. If you're looking for something fast-paced, this is not the game for you. Every resource needs to be found and harvested manually, one at a time. If you ever played Unreal World, it's a similar sort of vibe. It's also very much not finished, although there is enough content to have kept me engaged for 25 hours so far, and I still haven't exhausted the current content, so I think it's well worth its current price. +PROS+ +Gritty, detailed, realistic-feeling survival simulation that scratches an itch no other game has touched for years +Satisfying to start with nothing and build up a successful camp +Foraging, building, crafting, cooking, medical mechanics all based in realism +I find the visual style very appealing, especially in the forests +Mushrooms can be foraged or grown in a dark farm for food and medicine +Runs well on my mid-range PC, haven't experienced any crashes, frame drops, etc. +Multiplayer co-op play -CONS- -Very unfinished as of now -No end to the storyline yet, and no way to clear the blight from the land (this is promised for 1.0)…

More quests - as much as possible 4. Differentiated landscapes (earthquake, volcano, extreme temperatures ...) 5. Mouse hover delay time for Built sections (e.g., it is hard to click on chest while its on built wood floor) TBC

It's such a peaceful sort of danger. It's the sort of tedious grind that could really bore the crap out of you, if it wasn't also incredibly satisfying to complete a task as the sun sets, and the first howl signals, 'you'd better be home'. It's just on the edge of being too much. But it's very calming, because it's so peaceful and I really love that about it. It's the perfect sort of PvE that I imagine when I think of great games. I've played 50 hours and I still haven't figured out how to not kill myself from doing silly things I know will hurt. I have just figured out how to make a hammer and fix the pickaxe. I found a house with an anvil in it that I carried across the map to my camp. Still not sure what we're doing with the pretty blue and red stones, or the slime. I'm too busy exploring and looking for more caves. My partner became intrigued, played the demo and let me buy him a copy, so now we've got a save together in co-op, and it's really nice that the rain stays synched. I can't wait to see what else happens in this story. Thanks!

Excellent, fun and challenging survival game with an interesting mechanic. I have around 25h invested as of this moment. The tutorial tooltips (it's just basic tasks that should get you most of the way of understanding the basics) are somewhat helpful. It reminds me of the old school games where not everything is said how it's done. You just have the hints of i.e. "can be fermented" so you know as a guess that you can do something that would make the food last longer. There are some bugs, quirks and whatnot. Nothing really game breaking. I can't wait to see what the game will look like and feel like as a 1.0.
