About Mist Survival
✦ AI summary
Survive a mysterious viral outbreak by scavenging, building, and managing a camp while navigating dense fog that brings infected mutants and dangerous wildlife. Command resources, recruit survivors, and defend against threats in a sandbox world where every decision—from crafting to base defense—determines if your group lives or dies.
ABOUT THIS GAME
Players will be immune from the virus outbreak and must survive the situation by hoarding food, finding shelter and protecting yourself from wildlife, bandits, and infected. Players can also help other survivors and get the survivors to join your camp.
Players will experience dense mist that can happen at any time. The dense mist environment is accompanied by certain events, such as the infected people come around to find preys.
People who are infected and mutated will be able to come out outdoors at night or when there is no sunshine that means they can also hunt players while the fog is covered.

It is a good game
It's an *okay* zombie survival game. I'm all for the solo developers "Army of One" approach, but 8 years of work has resulted in: PROS: - Floating item symbols above lootables, making it easier to discern what items can be picked up. - A different approach to looting, where every drawer can hold a number of items. - Storage boxes found throughout the world can be manually moved. - Base building is enjoyable, with updates bringing more farmstead and QOL features. CONS: - Small Map - Not many POI's, with even less that are capable of being lived in. - A lot, and I mean a LOT, of immovable assets that have no purpose other than aesthetics. - Loot goblin who ran around the map and stole every car engine/battery before you loaded into the world. - Not much depth to any of the core mechanics of the game. - Loot isn't random; has specific spawn locations making it monotonous. SUMMARY: Overall I can't wholeheartedly rate it anything other than "meh" or "it's okay." I bought it when it was on sale, but I don't think I'll continue playing. 3 hours was enough for me to get bored/burnt out after experiencing all of the core mechanics of this game. TL;DR 8 years of deve…
NOT BAD AT
This game has a good idea but it needs optimization very very badly, it is a CPU HOG! very heavy CPU usage, I'm on an i9 9900k with great cooling and it still runs the CPU like hell...I don't want to hear crap about it being a 9th gen cpu, this thing runs everything easily even unreal 5 games without any issues, but this game just eats it up ffs optimize this ♥♥♥♥, and the saves don't save btw "wtf" even almost seems like some ones cash cow however, after 8 years in early access you would think the "dev" or Devs....would really actually fix the worthless POS this is
the game causes the computer to lose connection to the monitor
I Like this game, I do. But, at it's current state...I cannot recommend it. This game looks good and has a good idea. However, It is so janky...The whole game needs a huge optimization overhaul and a huge bug fix update...the amount of times I have fallen through the map, stepped over a rock and got sucked into a wall or the ground and died are way too many for me to actively continue playing this game...I hope this game will be fixed soon so I can actually play it and have fun instead of dying every few minutes to weird bugs or glitches...If things do change down the road...this review will be updated accordingly.
