**Through the Fog: A Professional Game Review** "Through the Fog" immerses players in the enigmatic Night City, a place shrouded in mystery and enigma as a pervasive fog causes residents to fall asleep and sleepwalk, vacating the town. This in-game currency is essential for purchasing upgrades, which prolong exploration periods and enhance the convenience of the player's shop. The game is divided into two distinct parts: city exploration and shop management. During city exploration, players collect items known as "LUCids," depicted as micro-SD cards. These items, bearing images of places or objects of sentimental value or importance, add depth to the storyline. However, the significance of these LUCids remains a tantalizing mystery. Charming little rogue-lite; love the idea of interacting with the world in the form of mini-games, and most of them are super simple and fun to replay. The shop UI is also intuitive and makes for a satisfying gameplay loop of running through the city, speed-running through the mini-games to sell all your stuff, and repeating til can upgrade. Minor gripes are the movement can feel float-y and the dialogue isn't super stimulating (which is a shame since that's how mechanics are taught to the player); more sound effects would be incredible.

I recommend this game because there's no third option and I don't want to NOT recommend this game, ie it's not bad...it's just not really good, either. I bought, installed, and played this for 2.6 hours, two months ago. I remember enjoying the atmosphere and the initial wherewithal, but I also remember spending the last > 0.6 hours looking for mods, cheats, or any kind of NEWS about an upcoming update to supplement the nothingness going on (there were none), so: As it came out a year ago and the last update/word from the devs was 9 months ago, It's good for about 2 decent hours of play. $5 for 2 hours = your call.
