Story of Tracery of Fate

Welcome to the dying world of Alfira, where every moment is a struggle for survival. After centuries of battling a demonic invasion, the goddess who once protected this world has grown weak. Now, she can no longer contain the force left by the demons—a curse known as the Blight. This ancient evil, spreading like poisonous mold, consumes all life in its path. Cities crumble into voids, and proud races—humans, elves, and orcs—perish or mutate into twisted creatures corrupted by darkness. But that was not enough. A traitor from within—a mad necromancer—seeks to become the new god of this world. His goal is to turn the remaining survivors into an army of soulless undead and rule over the last remnants of civilization. You are a Guardian, the last hope of this crumbling world. Created by an ancient race to fight against the demonic threat, your origins are shrouded in mystery, and your powers are nearly limitless. Armed with lethal weapons, a shield, supernatural abilities, and revolvers, you are equipped to face any challenge. However, Alfira is unforgiving. You will face not only the necromancer's hordes of undead but also your fallen brethren—Guardians who have succumbed to his control. And as whispered rumors suggest, the banished demons are returning, their insatiable hunger driving them to consume what little remains of Alfira in their destructive march. You must fight for this dying world, uncover its secrets, and halt the advancing darkness. Will you be the one to rewrite the fate of this world, or will Alfira become a forgotten chapter of history? The choice is yours.

There is lot to like on this game, but unfortunately, even more to dislike. Lets start with good things - exploration I love search every nook and cranny in this game, often giving you small rewards for permanent upgrades. level design Even for older game, I enviroment is nice to look at and giving nice vibes So why negative review: Because following really spoiled the fun for me Lack of tutorial: Initial tutorial talks too much, but explain too little. Many mechanics you had to explore yourself, or read in boring book. Not the dealbreaker, but annoying as well. They should explain you why are you cosnantly loosing health because thats horrible when you start playing. Bugs - Why oh why so many bugs? We got regulary stuck between planks on bridges, falling to our deaths. Disconnects are on daily basis and (when encountering explosive) your body flies up so your buddy cannot revive you. Not to mention buggy enemies and bosses.. Combat - servicable. Not good, not bad - but some enemies are really pain to deal with (like shielded guys). Not impossible, just annoying. Level layout So this is my biggest issue - Sometimes checkpoint will spawn you inside enemy h…

A good challenge, but very playable as single player. Don't rush any map. There's tonnes of hidden unlocks. The tutorial and info on the net is very scarce. But it's worth putting in the grind. Having checked their website and Discord channel. It looks very much like this game has been abandoned. The Discord channel has only had hacked account spam advertising in every user capable channel for well over a year.

This game is punishing. I died tons. It's often not clear where to go or how to kill a boss. Only 5.7% of players killed the "spearman," who is the first miniboss. The graphics are AMAZING. The levels are AMAZING, but exploration is tempered by the health drain of being outside on level 1. The combat is decent. The enemies are very good. Tracery of Fate is made entirely from elements that are great individually, they just don't come together for a fun solo experience for me. Read the guide and play with friends for maximum enjoyment.

All the mechanics feel horrible. No joy to be found here. Buggy, janky, and unsatisfying.

Awful hitbox detection, an absolute chore to play.

Doesn't work with HTC Vive (first gen) controllers, stuck in the menu because you can't press any button... Refund asked.
