October Night Games

The game has no way to save manually, and the auto-save feature doesn't work very well. First game I continued was an hour behind where it should have been, and the second game I played did not save at all. Completely destroyed the fun I had with it.

This is a fascinating, board-game alike game with rpg-elemts (even round based dice-fights) and I simply love all of it's horror-related topics. Werewolves, ghouls, witches, you name it, you will most likely find it in this game here! The falling 3D-leaves on this 2D paper alike game were very appealing to me as well.

Tutorial worth almost nothing and I won't waste my time to try to figure out how to play.

I liked the atmosphere and music. Ghouls with an artifact from Cthulhu briskly bring resources!

It's fun to play once a year.

The combat is weirdly imbalanced especially with no feedback or information during/before the final event. This mystery is thematically appropriate almost, but completely falls apart after the first playthrough. The deduction seems almost like a non-factor with the length of the game and inscrutability of the meaningfulness of interactions. Especially in my playthrough, I had all the roles figured out by day 10, although the interactions event chose the same 3 characters three times in a row for no reason. Visiting the market seems mandatory for good play, but is slightly out of the way to do every single turn. Does the familiar have any gameplay effect?? It was an interesting experience for one go, but ultimately doesn't seem worth the time to play it.
