✦ AI summary

Horror Maze offers simple maze gameplay with good variety in monsters and locations that can be genuinely frightening and fun, especially when playing split-screen co-op with friends, though the experience is hampered by split-screen technical issues and some players finding the controls confusing or the overall experience frustrating. Players who enjoy horror experiences and cooperative play seem to get entertainment value from it despite its imperfections, while others find it poorly designed or not their cup of tea.

Definitely not something I'll be putting on my best hidden gems list, but it's still something I enjoyed. The mechanics are very simple, the mazes are pretty mazey, and the diversity in monsters and locations is quite good. I've had a hand full of issues with the split-screen, but when it works it is hands down the best way to play, as playing with a friend amplifies the experience significantly. So although this game isn't perfect, I personally quite like it, and I can see others having a fair bit of fun with it to.
