About Speedgunner Ultra
Speedgunner Ultra is inspired by speedruns, so the game allows you to do many tricks in order to develop incredible speed. Transform into a combat aircraft and fly long distances in seconds. In tight areas use the form of a cyborg capable of launching missiles. Use these missiles to kill enemies or to get a boost by shooting at your feet. Do your best to show the best time on the level.Key features:

https://youtube.com/watch?v=GP1xoHhu1iQ Speedgunner Ultra is a great precision platformer where you play as a person and transform into a plane, trying to get to the end of the level as fast as possible. Visuals looks good with the indie and 16 bit look. Gameplay is the highlight, as you jump and fly through space and avoiding obstacles. You also have rockets you can shoot in both forms, in order to destroy enemy turrets shooting at you. Platforming is fun as you jump and avoid lasers that can kill you when touched. The first few levels are simple enough to learn as you learn the ropes, but does get rather complex and difficult which is where the fun comes in. Controls are fine on keyboard and definitely playable but perhaps would be best played with a controller. There's also the speedrunning aspect where it shows how well you do compared to other people so there is some replayability in redoing the levels trying to best others. Overall, do recommend this for those into platforming as well as speedrunners.13 found this helpful
This game has transformers, grappling, and golfing all packed into one crazy IL-based speedrunning game with banging music. It's awesome.7 found this helpful
Quick Score: 4/5 Notes: Unique platformer with a focus on unique movement mechanics and speedrunning. Decently challenging but nothing too insane. Some interesting alternate campaigns involving ball juggling and a grapple hook are fun detours. Complaints would be that the games UI is somewhat broken. You will get popups for "unlocks" but it wont show anything. And the leaderboards are sometimes bugged in a couple random ways. Achievement don't pop until you load up another random level. For some reason the "rope" campaign required me to rebeat a gold time to unlock it, even though i already had all the requirements unlocked. The game crashes if you try to play in windowed mode. Bugs aside, I feel like the levels could have maybe been a little bit more diverse or added just a couple more mechanics. But otherwise a solid game and would recommend.5 found this helpful
