[b]soccer cup solitaire[/b] is sport-themed, something I generally avoid, but I'll play a solitaire with any coat of paint. and this isn't a simple reskin either, as it [b]works like a football/soccer tournament[/b]. I assume, with zero knowledge in the subject, plus the game is from 2010, so things might've changed since. after choosing a country (or letting the game pick one at random), you start in one of the 8 groups and have to play against 3 other teams, while they also play against each other. each match consists of 6 levels, the 16 winning teams get into the elimination stage, the 8 winners then proceed to the quarter-finals, 4 to the semi-finals, and 2 play for the cup. these rounds consist of 9 levels each, so [b]in a playthrough you'll play 54 levels[/b], but there's [b]more replayability potential here[/b]. there's a deck to flip through, but [b]actual gameplay isn't typical match-2 solitiare[/b] (rules are explained in the help section while playing a level and during the first level). ideally, you'll keep matching the same values (even better, same value and suit) or one higher or lower (2-2, 3-3, 2-2, ace-ace, king-king, etc.) to keep 'passing the ball' and get a m…

When this Game came to me i was a little bit skeptical, but what a kind of Reviewer i would be if i didn´t review every kind of Game? Well, Football was never my Kind of Sport and that may sound funny, because my Homeland Germany is well known for Football. Why? That is not a typical Solitaire Game, it is a Pair Match Solitaire. With typical obstacles like Locks. You have to clean the Screen by finding Pairs with nice done Footballer Cards in Cartoon Style and in a World Tournament Mode. And that all guided by an unexpected damn good Rock Soundtrack including cool Songs, droving me to play Level after Level. In this video I take a look at Soccer Cup Solitaire, a casual solitaire game. This title is great. It has it's own take on solitaire and it's all played like a soccer tournament. It also has a fantastic 90's rock'n'roll sound track and professional sounding soccer commentary voice over as you play. You can encounter random events like free kicks and yellow cards that add unexpected twists to the game. It's only down side is the older resolution due to it's age. It is a new title to Steam but it's a re-released older title. That aside, I think it's really well made so take a look, choose your country, and get playing.
