Firegirl: Hack 'n Splash Rescue DX

Feels like it wants to be a casual, chill game, but it ends up being more frustrating than relaxing. Great concept, poor execution, with too many unpolished elements. The art and animations are nice, and the sound design does its job, but it clashes with a strange stripped-down UI that feels unfinished. The biggest issue is the gameplay loop. After an hour, I already felt stuck replaying the apartment level over and over again. Doing the same mission 10 times was boring, 20 times became frustrating. I eventually got the burning train mission, only to die quickly because the camera angle (2,5D) made the landing zone hard to read. Maybe the apartment layouts are intentionally maze-like, forcing you to choose between saving yourself or civilians, but honestly, I’m not playing The Witcher here.

First played the game on console and revisiting in on PC showed it's possible to succeed in the early stages, but the learning curve can be daunting. And it does feel like the game ramps up the challenge faster than you can get acclimated for a while. However, the game is a lot of fun and it's a pretty unique experience.

neat short game, bit of nonesensical plot but its a fun afternoon. Also protip, get the upgraded axe asap, it will make your llife so much easier

Es un plataformas entretenido. Al principio es un poco frustante, pero en cuanto compras unas cuantas mejoras, se convierte en un juego mucho más rápido y divertido. Los niveles son procedurales, lo cual los hace injustos, sobre todo al principio. Además, hay muy pocos niveles, se hace repetitivo rápidamente. Por suerte, es un juego corto, así que no se hace pesado.

Good Game, the graphics are a nice blend of pixel and 2.5D, and the story is fine, and gameplay is fun
