Shoot Trip Die

I want to like this game, but I really can't. Many others have said it but this isn't a game that should be able to be bought with money, this is a simple newgrounds game that can be praised for being at least playable at best. First two areas are piss easy, then the last two are nothing but titty twisters. Some items are okay and others are actually just straight up nothing. Some unique items that can enhance a run instead become a hindrance later on, like how certain rooms are straight up impossible with something like kerosene or the scythe. Not only that but if you even dare pick too many items that help you in getting through the game alive, you just will not have anything to defend yourself in the later portions of the game. The game has secret rooms that have a chance of showing up after special rooms like the casino or the boss room. Despite the secret rooms being a chance based occurrence that only can appear after certain rooms, indicating that they are a reward for the player, they can still ♥♥♥♥ you over with stat downs, traps, and a special slot machine that can just straight up kill you. The final boss has some of the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ attacks ever that come out so …

Bought this game on launch when it was 20$cad and regretted it. probably a good buy to play for 30 minutes when its on sale for a dollar or 2, but the same could be said about the game's demo which i ended up playing more than the final game funny enough. Very unfriendly to the player to an extent that inst fun like some other games like Isaac gungeon etc. Could have used more time in the oven and play testing, but at least its not 20$ regularly anymore. 10/10 music, Retrojection is peak video games.

If you want a quick and fun roguelike that you can pick up, then get this game and never play its hard mode. it sucks. but literally everything else about the game is pretty good.

lacking in almost everything. this feels like a flash game that should be free on newgrounds but got ported to steam for money.

What an amazingly simple but yet complex roguelike! I had such a blast playing it on my Steam Deck even though it says it is not compatible, it works perfect. My girlfriend who is far away removed from a gamer also quite enjoyed it. Figuring out the secrets and upgrades with her was so fun, I would say this is a game for the whole family, invite your grandma for a quick run, I am sure she will also enjoy it. <3
