About Teleglitch: Die More Edition

✦ AI summary

Survive a sprawling research facility overrun with reanimated corpses and fight your way through procedurally generated corridors in this top-down roguelike shooter with punishing permadeath and crafted weaponry. Every playthrough is different with randomized levels, 20+ enemy types, and 40+ weapons to scavenge and combine, creating an atmosphere of escalating dread as difficulty intensifies deeper into the facility.

In a cold, dark future dominated by mega-corporations, a small lonely planet on the edge of habitable space is the site of a shadowy research facility specializing in necrotic tissue reactivation. You are a scientist who has suddenly awoken to the realization that you are the lone survivor. The rest of the facility’s personnel have all been killed – micro-chipped and reactivated as combatants by the facility’s central processing AI.

Teleglitch: Die More Edition is a roguelike top-down shooter with retro pixel graphics. Featuring procedurally generated maps that change with each play through, you will never experience the same facility twice. Clutch your gun, walk down the dark corridors and enter each new room hoping those last few rounds of ammunition will be enough. Feel the anxiety, the paranoia and the sheer terror of Teleglitch.

Died way too many times for my weak ego.

Sencillito, pero con mas rejugabilidad que los "roguelikes" que andan dando vueltas y robando con el termino

Leaving this "review" as a comment for myself, as part of an attempt to get through my backlog going into games completely blind. It's an unforgiving survival roguelite with very low-fi graphics, a neat system of combining items and what looks like an intriguing story. Even from where I got up to there is evidently some depth to the crafting, e.g. I think my first death on level 3, on my second run, was mostly because I had not discovered armour. There's really a lot to like here. But at the end of the day, I dislike survival games (very limited ammo etc.) and as roguelikes are repetitive by design it is an exercise in masochism to play one where you don't enjoy the core gameplay loop. I'm find with hard games but it's not stressful in a fun way, just very easy to die instantly because of a momentary distraction or a mistake. I wouldn't recommend it to me.
