About Superstar Strategy

Draft your forces among a wide variety of unique units, who each have a unique set of skills to exercise on the battlefield. Bully enemies by pushing and pulling them with the hearty Champion, strike and fade with the swift Cavalier, lay devastating traps with the talented Mage, and steal your opponent’s life essence and donate it to your companions as a Vampire healer.
Units have complementary skill-sets that enable a pair to accomplish more together than they would alone. Well-coordinated skills can be greater than the sum of their parts!
Exploit the terrain on the battlefield to gain the upper hand. Hold defensive positions, close drawbridges on unsuspecting enemies, or launch over walls to outflank your foes.
Experience a fully-featured Campaign story that spans the continent, gathering companions to your Mercenary company, and take on challenges that grow ever greater. Fate has great (and terrible) things in store for you and your companions.
Missions can have multiple victory conditions, and you only need to meet one to win! When you’re on the back-foot, look for an opportunity to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
Each faction moves one unit at a time. You’ll have to react to the evolving state of the battlefield as you adapt to the changing situations. What Steam players say

For what it is it's great, but it has next to no real rpg progression. I would have preferred unlocking better weapons, advanced classes, more equipment slots, that kind of thing. As it stands it feels more like a board game than a true rpg, but it fulfills that niche quite well and has some good writing to accompany it. Solid 8/10.5 found this helpful

Hidden gem tactics game that hopefully wont get overlooked in the morass of fire emblem or shining force-esque releases out there. Almost every bit of it just works ahead of the curve and each movement/terrain/environmental mechanic introduced you nod when you recognize how it can later synergize with the unit abilities you encounter. Even the tutorial was kinda fun, a near impossible task!1 found this helpful
Imma be honest this was a nice interesting that on FE, I just think the guard mechanic is a B I T OP, I mean half the time my characters barely even died because I kept guarding have the time, it's very easy to keep everyone alive in one playthrough with the guard mechanic. Not to mention characters being OP and being able to REGAIN THEIR SHIELD by certain attack abilities. I think if that wasn't the case this game would be a great FE like but... sheesh I felt no threat at all while playing through the story Cx
posting after finishing the campaign, i haven't played any of the skirmish maps yet a pretty good, tight strategy rpg with quick-to-learn mechanics that feel second nature to anyone who's played the genre before. pretty fun story in the campaign as well!
