Ctrl Alt Deal

Wasn't really what I expected; the trailer made it seem more interesting than it is. Essentially it's just a series of simple puzzles involving playing cards to manipulate people around the office. You're generally just using the same cards over and over again, and you do a lot of "negotiating" purely to add some social capital points to characters so that they'll actually take the actions you want them to. It becomes repetitive very quickly and the puzzles are very easy. There's a "suspicion" mechanic but it only goes up 4% per turn, or a little more if you get randomly caught doing something suspicious, so I never finsihed a puzzle with more than about 20% suspicion and it takes 100% suspicion to fail. Unfortunately it all feels a bit lifeless so I wouldn't recommend it. Also, for a game with such simple graphics it was strangely very GPU intensive, even turned down to low graphics quality it made my laptop overheat after an hour and a half and I had to swap to using my desktop the next time I played.

I was excited for this game based on the demo but the full game is just more of the same. I felt that there was rarely any reason to do more than just the basics to complete a level so after a while the game felt like a chore. Game is extremely short as well.

This is a really fun game with a surprising amount of depth. It played the demo when it first dropped and it is one of the few demos I've played in a very long time that I felt had replay value. The game itself, I'm on my 2nd play-through, doing things differently, and it genuinely feels like a new and interesting game experience all over again.

I expected something different. I like the game visually and the cinematics are nice but it is a bit weak mechanically and way too verbose. It's not horrible but not horribly fun either.

Not for me.

Very interesting and unique gameplay. The animations are very fun, too, adds a lot of personality.
