Tower of Mask

You are the latest fired member of Slipknot. Thrown into the death pit, you somehow survive. Now you must climb your way up through the ten levels of the tower while the other discarded beings will try to arrange your demise. Do not waver and focus on your goal... reach the highest point and exact your revenge on Corey Taylor and Clown. Tower Of Mask is a fantastic dungeon crawler with elements of survival horror. The graphics have style, the sound design is good and the gameplay is addictive. The game will take you around 10 hours to complete and I think that is enough, it does not overstay it's welcome. I loved finding all of the secrets, collecting hidden weapons, artifacts and learning about the lore behind nu metal. The only downside for me are the puzzles... some of them are cryptic and I feel like you could easily remove two hours of my game time if they were actually coherent (or maybe I'm just dumb, I love Limp Bizkit's music after all). To sum it all up, I highly recommend this title, might be my fav dungeon crawler tbh. Do not sleep on this, you will regret it. Really neat dungeon crawler, has cool enemy designs and combat is fun enough, puzzles become a little tiresome but they don't take that long to do

I don't always write reviews, but when I do, it's almost always because, for one reason or another, a game has managed to properly impress me. Simply enough, I had a lovely time with this. It's a nice, classic jaunt through a proper, griddy dungeon, with excellent presentation and art direction overall, not even considering the fact that it is apparently the effort of a tiny team (if I am not mistaken, a single primary dev, possibly some external assets, and a small localization team). Basically, a master class in turning one's material limitations and creative constraints into a net positive. It's not perfect, of course. The UI is a bit janky at times, and the graphic design is perhaps less than perfectly professional, but that's basically a nitpick. It all works. The balancing on normal difficulty skews towards easy, which I didn't quite expect for some reason (not sure how it plays on hard difficulty), but even so it wasn't without challenge and tension, and it was fun and engaging all the way through. good little game, short and sweet, a bit of souls-like action mixed in with the blob dungeon crawl formula. Original, and not bad at all.
