About Labyrinth Of The Demon King

Labyrinth of the Demon King is a challenging first-person dungeon crawler, set against the backdrop of a mythical feudal Japan besieged by demons. As a lone foot soldier, embark on a quest to track down and slay the Demon King who killed your Lord. But will you have the skill, resources and stamina needed to survive through all the horrors this brutal world will throw at you?

"The world is in chaos, and has entered the latter age of the Dharma.
Society is crumbling and war has spread throughout the country.
Disease and famine have killed thousands, and demons walk the very earth itself.
You are an 'Ashigaru', a foot soldier in the service of Lord Takeda Nobumitsu.

Deceived by a powerful demon king, your lord led his army into an ambush. All perished except for you. Against your wishes your lord sacrificed his life to aid your escape from the battle.

You have made a vow to track down the demon who betrayed your lord and end its life.
You take what could possibly be your final breaths on this mortal plane, and prepare yourself to enter…

The Labyrinth of the Demon King!"

Labyrinth of the Demon King A really good horror dungeon crawler. I had a lot of fun beating it twice, though it wore a little thin on the third NG cycle. The 'vibes' are immaculate, at times I couldn't help but explore more and enjoy the scenery. The first NG+ felt extremely fun as you can now just fly through the game as fast as possible discovering new secrets. The combat feels pretty fun for the run time. None of the bosses were spectacular, but the room to room fights were very fun once the system was mastered. I did get really annoyed with 4/5 bosses using summons to make them artificially harder without being more interesting. My biggest issue with the game is the promise of the very first level was not really fulfilled throughout. The first tower felt like a well crafted exploration and combat puzzle, the other towers don't even have maps for their upper stories. It was very unclear whether any particular door was a permanently closed or a secret room to find a way into, causing a lot of useless scrape-ing I very rarely felt rewarded for. (the boarded up area in the 'tea house' being the most disappointing) This game, more than anything else, makes me excited for t…

Great game Pros: fun battles and exploration, game lands right in the middle between janky ps1 and comfortable and responsive modern controls and gameplay, which does help with vibes and atmosphere Cons: ambient does like 70 % of horror heavy lifting whilst being really annoying at times. Too much sharp and loud noises when it's really unnecessary, it just hurts my ears.
