About Cache Grabbers

This walking simulator takes you through 30 levels of relaxing and low-stakes cartography fun. Chill out to the ambient melancholy soundtrack. Use triangulation to reveal as much or as little of the map as you'd like before moving on. Dig up playful knick-knacks and explore off the beaten path for hidden secrets.

As you advance through each level, you'll begin to uncover hints of the origin of this world and those who came before you. Why are you here? How did you get here? Why must you endlessly press on and GRAB THE CACHE? Everything looks weird and from time to time you come across things that look downright broken. Will scraps of information that others have left behind ultimately reveal this world's secrets and perhaps a way out?

POWER LANDMARKS
Touching, triangulating or otherwise mapping landmarks will power them up, revealing a part of the map.

TRIANGULATE TO REVEAL
Use your compass to triangulate between two powered landmarks, revealing an even larger area of the map.

MAP THE CACHE
Once you've spotted the cache zone, reveal it in its entirety to activate your metal detector.

FIND THE CACHE
Follow the metal detector's beeping to zero in on the dig spot.

GRAB THE CACHE
Dig with your shovel to reveal the cache and the collectible inside.

Very relaxing and charming experience. For fans of puzzle games like The Witness and Myst, games that teach you how to play them, but much easier to engage with and play casually.

This is a fun, simple, and relaxing environmental puzzle-solving game. It is very easy to pick-up-and play! You learn how to play with the help of in-game clues, so there is no reading or listening to boring tutorials. I love the colors, ambient sound, and overall aesthetic. The puzzles are not too difficult and appropriate for almost all ages and skill levels. There is no story per se, but you can find secrets in each stage that reward you with tidbits of humor and context beyond your immediate surroundings. I'd love to see more content or the idea developed further! I would like to see more evolution in stages and puzzle concepts, however what was accomplished here is extremely polished and feels great every step of the way. Recommended for fans of Portal!

This was a fun game, with an interesting puzzle format. It filled both my needs for puzzles, and for exploration. Not much story (none until the end if you don't find any of the secrets), but the puzzles are all centered around a concept that it teaches in the beginning, and increases the difficulty without adding any new mechanics.

It's not exactly a looker, but there's not much else out there like this cartography game. You explore various terrains, level by level, looking for certain landmarks in order to triangulate your position. It's relaxing while also having a slightly silly sense of humor to it and a secret to find in each stage.
