[b]tl;dr:[/b] It's [i]fine[/i] but nothing special. If there was a *shrug* rating, I'd give it that. Instead I flipped a coin and gave it a plus. The gameplay got very tedious too quickly for me to recommend too much. Go to area, use a metal detector to find a thing, break out the shovel, dig it up and spray it clean. Rinse and repeat. The objects you find are not memorable and blur together. Used only as a way to make more money to buy the next upgrade, or get to the next area. At least the money system kept the progress from stagnating too much. The upgrades make finding trinkets faster. What does it say about the gameplay, that upgrades result in less time playing the game? You can farm cash at any map; the objects respawn in random locations. This makes it seem like nothing you do really matters. The photo quests really helped break up the monotony of the main gameplay loop. One big thing I can say for it is I only encountered bugs related to the achievements -- no major ones affecting the gameplay. It was fun for an afternoon, but completing the game 100% was a slog.1 found this helpful

3/5 *These Are Just Notes Taken While I Played The Game* The Good: The level designs in this game are very detailed and some of them are very beautiful. Credz to the level designers. The treasures in this game are good and overall have decent amount of variety and quality of each type and as you progress getting better metal detectors you will get better treasure and higher quality. The Bad: Traveling these maps are not fun when you have to back track these levels over and over as you progress through the story mode to get money and to complete these levels at 100%. This leads me to another issuer. Unstuck is a feature that seems helpful at first but it is NOT. If you are walking around any of the bigger maps and your pretty far from the start of the level, if you get stuck then you hit unstuck in the menu. This brings you back all the way to the START of the level. This can be very frustrating as traveling in this game can be painfully slow even with running being a feature in this game. Tools. random game crush
Gets boring really fast sadly, as there are no new mechanics implemented. Play something else.
In between working on other more exciting and time-consuming projects, wanted to play a palette cleanser and boy did I get it. In the most insufferable way possible where everything is tedious, boring and masochistic. Yucky, the only thing that I enjoyed were the historical blurbs on every item, though I'm not even sure if those are accurate due to the general low quality of the rest of the game.
