magical bakery is cute at first, but gameplay is clunky and progression doesn't actually ... feel like progression? instead of being a cosy, magical adventure, the game is a frustrating grind to get through. the game has lots of receipes to discover, and the process of finding them out by experimenting with the ingredients is fun. however, this is a small part of the game itself, and the process of cooking & serving is horrible to repetitively play through, and none of the upgrades actually make it better. i have no idea whose idea it was to make the ovens spinnable instead of fixed, but having various ovens to upgrade how many thiings you can cook at once doesn't help when you have to keep spinning between them and keeping them lit, especially because your character walks so slow and gets caught on corners and customers while dashing. the layout just isn't well designed -- for example, why are the tables where you can put pastries for customers to buy on the complete opposite side of the restaurant? giving us multiple tables to sell sweets but placing them so far away comes at a detriment. the customers, though the things they request increase in complexity, remain very short-…

I really wanted to relax and enjoy Magical Bakery, however since I seem to be bugged and progression is not the easiest when you pay for the oven slot upgrades but the oven slots do not show up. I can only see the value. I have left a message in the discord channel for SOEDESCO yesterday and I am waiting a response since the help page offered to check on game being up to date as well as restarting the entire game. The issue arise immediately after purchasing the 2nd oven slot and I played a bit longer to see if buying the 3rd slot would fix the issue. Sadly, this has not. I would not recommend buying this game until this bug for PC is fixed.

the game played weird for me. very clunky. i was playing on keyboard, so not sure if that made it harder. if you didn't press in the exact right spot youd drop your baked good, be unable to pick it up, and it would instantly go bad. reviews say this game is too easy. not sure whats happening for me, but basically i have something in the oven. go take an order. give them what i made. make something new and take another order. in that time, a waiting customer has left. they leave instantly, they dont even stay for me to bake what they wanted. very frustrating.

I liked this game a lot. For me it was more enjoyable than Lemon cake game, because there I pretty much cooked the same dish all the time due to its profit/time ratio. I like how addicting is the game loop of this game. The only negative was a bug, which didn't allow me to retake final exam. But it was all the way in the end of the story. So I didn't care much about that.

Lovely little baking game with a lot of similarities to Lemon Cake (or vice versa, I don't know which was first). Honestly lacking quite a lot of quality of life elements, a very annoying bug involving the sprinkles not working properly and quite a repetitive (but enjoyable) gameplay loop. The noises were also really quite annoying throughout, especially the snoring which I could hear every time I spoke to anyone! I've completed the story at 11 hours but the achievements are bugged and haven't been completed. I don't imagine there's much to do after the story except the achievements so that's the end of it for me but I had fun with the story.
