This is Posthaste; fast-paced, arcade rally racing game. Delivered by a solo developer, it aims to provide a challenging yet entertaining experience to its players.

The Fundamentals of Posthaste

Boost - Filling up over time, the Boost feature can give your car either slow or instant burst of acceleration depending on your choice, including Default (Instant), Snappy (Instant), and Burn (Slow).
Haste Meter - No matter how much boost you use, you'll always want more power. Fill your Haste Meter by drifting and driving at high speeds. With your Haste Meter full, you'll be able to initiate ProBoost.
ProBoost - The ProBoost feature allows you to have a major 10-second speed boost, which becomes available after filling up your Haste Meter.
Configuration - Basic configuration options for changing the Boost mode and adjusting gear ratios are available.
Car Mods - Simple modification options such as boost refill speed and lightweight chassis are included to give you an advantage which can be unlocked by driving.
Ghost Replay - Race against the ghost representation of your previous/best attempts

In this current state I can't recommend Posthaste. It however has potential and nice graphics plus the Dev is continuously updating. Nice work regardless! The main issues I've experienced are - Poor optimization: in my experience first launch I've had 50 fps in menu to barely reaching 7 fps in-game WITH the lowest settings and on several more launches I've had a wide range of fps which makes it seem unstable. It stabilized after around the 6+ launch. - Car behavior: unfortunately the acceleration causes when the car is stopped a rapid acceleration instead of increasing gradually km/h. The gears aren't reliable or make sense (perhaps bug?) unless that is not transmission then it still doesn't correspond to the speed. When trying to turn, it either turns extremely to one side or doesn't register it. Disabling the automatic shift makes the vehicle more stable with a smoother acceleration and less clunky. - G/ui: At a stop the motion is still ongoing from one side to another. dynamic day/night cycle can be selected but doesn't account in the ready meter nor does it launch. I'd love to support this indie game once the problems are corrected. For now I might refund the product.

Wow I'm bad at this...controller support would be nice, I'd probably perform a bit less terribly. It's an amusing little game...little content but for it's price that's fine imo. UI could use some work. Would be nice to have an option to turn the effects down a little bit, pretty much can't see anything when boosting. Maybe there shouldn't be a penalty on manual reset due to how easy it is to get stuck. Perhaps instead of a dynamic day/night cycle, let players select a day or night version of the rally and give increased score for the night version.

This game is a little passion project by an Indiedev. The artstyle reminds me of the likes of Farcry 3 : Blood Dragon and Saintsrow which i really like. Theres cars you can unlock that each have different stats and give the game a different feel. In addition to the different cars that are customizable with mods the game also offers a couple of different maps that you can also customize to your liking (e.g weather and daytime) One of the newest addition is a GHOSTCAR which you can race and give you a nice challenge. The developer frequently updates the game and im really looking forward to what else is coming in the future :) SUPPORT INDIEDEVS
