GOBLIN SLAYER -ANOTHER ADVENTURER- NIGHTMARE FEAST

Old school Tactical-Rpg. If you liked FF tactics, the old FE and such, Gameplay will be good enough for you. At the moment the only supported language is Japanese, which I fortunately speak. Story is pretty good so far, new characters are likable and the main heroine, guild master, is voice by takahashi Rie (Megumin for Konosuba and Emilia from ReZero) and that alone probably justify the price tag. Still, i'm always glad to enjoy an original story from Kumo Kagyu. Cons : -UI is hella basic and not that pleasant to look at, it's a shame. -Price is pretty high but that's the "normal" price in Japan and they clearly never intended to lower that to begin with.

Story is short, not bad for an old school SRPG ♥♥♥ version, remember those good RPG games days decades ago without translation.. miss those days learning and playing ♥♥♥ games... Not really strategy there.. anime brings out the good graphic to make this game looks better...

I might not be very far in but I can tell I'll thoroughly enjoy this game!! I have around 400 hours in Fire Emblem Three Houses and hundreds more in other RPGs like it, so this is right up my alley :) Just finished rewatching Goblin Slayer Season 2 so was hoping for more content from the same universe, while I'm only 2 missions in and haven't encountered any characters from the series the vibes are definitely apparent here. Background and character art are both fantastic, and the pixel art during combat is also awesome. Can't say much for the gameplay as I've only cleared 3 maps but it has been fairly balanced (I've had a few units die due to not expecting enemy damage to hurt so much haha). Can't wait to play more :)

The game has very limited movement/attack options, which makes it feel shallow and unfun. Each character can only use skills 2-3 times per stage, which is extremely low for the genre. Limited uses of skills makes sense in actual TRPG because you can still use other actions, but this doesn't translate well into a combat SRPG where your only options are the usual 'move, attack, item'. The difficulty is also quite high even at the supposed easy mode. A few hours in is not supposed to be where players already encounter roadblocking game overs in EASY MODE. I'm a working adult, I don't want to waste my time on grinding story-less stages to earn meager exp to not die in main campaign. For what it's worth though, the artworks are nice and the voice acting is good courtesy to Takahashi Rie and the various returning and debuting famous names.

If you do anything at all with the guild master they get targeted by every enemy on the map and gets wrecked. Its fun keeping the strongest character you have in the back away from combat
