About The Phantom
The Phantom is out!
We want to thank you for your support. As a small studio, working on a beloved and historic character like the Phantom has been both an honor and a privilege. We've poured our hearts into making the Phantom look as good in the game as he does in the comics.
While the game is out now, our work on The Phantom hasn't stopped. We're hard at work and have a big patch on the way that addresses the community's feedback.
Thank you so much for being a part of this journey. For more info on what's coming, see the discussion boards.
Comics’ very first costumed hero has arrived on Steam with only his physical strength, skill with weapons and fearsome reputation to fight crime!
The Phantom is an arcade-style beat-em-up coming to PC and consoles. Play as The Phantom or his partner, Diana Palmer, in this 14-level adventure. The feared pirates of the Singh Brotherhood are battling for power and threatening The Phantom’s legacy, and it’s up to you to stop them. Use your hand-to-hand fighting skills and trusty weapons to dispatch this evil, and call in assistance from your animal friends Fraka the falcon and Devil the wolf. The Phantom features a brand-new story approved by King Features. Experience this canon addition through full-screen cut scenes and captivating in-game visuals, hand-illustrated and animated frame-by-frame by seasoned comic book artists and Art Of Play’s dedicated in-house 2D creative team.

While I really love the artwork and storyline, its sad that "The Phantom" the superhero of the game, is the slowest character on the screen. Getting the character to turn quickly seems impossible as is running or any combo move. Perhaps Art of Play should focus on soccer games as the only way to seemingly be effective in completing the level is to kick your way through it.10 found this helpful
I cannot play this game beyond the Player Selection screen. I tried multiple times to reinstall but only with the same effect. Time to get a refund.3 found this helpful
The game is about a once famous hero. It is necessary to save the world by breaking the hordes of enemies. Good hand-drawn graphics, you play, but it feels like you're looking at a comic book. Fans of platformers should definitely play.1 found this helpful
It's pretty buggy but I liked it. Hope they refine the combat system and do more QA. The art is gorgeous!1 found this helpful
