About Dead-End City Blues OD Edition

✦ AI summary

Dead-End City Blues OD Edition is a card-battling RPG set in a neon-soaked 2080s Neo-Yokohama where you guide a girl named Kanon through violent street encounters to dismantle the Elysion drug trade. Build your deck from random cards to survive combat encounters, but be warned that defeat comes with adult consequences and can lock you into the game's darker endings.

Story

2080, Japan. Neo-Yokohama is a chaotic, violent hellhole.
With the police nowhere to be seen and crime hiding itself in every corner,
citizens are permitted to bear arms for self-defense.
The town is well and truly a final refuge for those with nowhere else left to go.

It's in this neon town that a lone girl named Kanon lurks the streets, ready for battle.
She's on a mission to track down and put an end to Elysion,
the drug that has embedded itself deep into the dirty fabric of Neo Yokohama.

Feature

  • The game has full Japanese voice acting!
  • All CGs and character illustrations are fully animated!

Gameplay:

Dead-End City Blues is an RPG based around card battles.
You will receive random cards to strengthen your deck and take on your male foes.
Lose, however, and Kanon will be violated.
Lose enough times, and you'll receive the bad ending.

Content:

  • 11 base CGs
  • 21 sex scenes.

✦ AI summary

Players praise the game's excellent art style, smooth presentation, and engaging deck-building card mechanics that offer satisfying challenge once you learn the systems. However, the main criticism is that the game is quite short—while the learning curve keeps players engaged initially, once they master the mechanics and story branches, there's limited content to sustain long-term interest, though most still consider it worth playing especially at a discount.

Recommend - Wait For Sale Dead-End City: Blues OD Edition's gameplay & scenes are enjoyable enough to where you might want to start from scratch 1 or 2 more times. Though the 2 most annoying aspects would be: 1. Having to purposely lose to get certain scenes (while yes, there IS an automatic unlock everything button, at that point there's no purpose in playing the game. It Should Not be there.) and 2. Grinding for hours to essentially unlock One specific achievement ("Total Victory") just to get a perfect win. If you are an achievement hunter or person that wishes to unlock all achievements in the game... STOP! Do Not Play This Game!! Otherwise, if you're mindful of those two faults, the game is quite enjoyable and somewhat challenging [Mid-Beginner Lvl.], for an adult game.

Fully compatible with 21:9 Ultrawide. It's alright as a game on sale. Half of the scenes are just other scenes that have been slightly extended. There's not many, and the actual card game aspect is the most fun you'll have with it, and it's a somewhat short game. Getting all the achievements is not that hard to do in 2.7 hours, but if you like deck battlers, then it might be fun with a lewd incentive.

On a baseline level, this is a great game with amazing mechanics, well animated scenes, voice acting, really everything you'd want and more in a game like this. However, it's incredibly short, especially for those well-versed in deck builders. I personally was able to beat all bosses and 100% the game in 3 hours. If you're not as familiar with deck builders you may struggle against the bosses and take longer because I can see how they could be extremely difficult for newbies. Having said that, I'd say this is a solid buy/must try only if the game is 50% off or more. I think at that price, it's pretty fair for the content you get. I'm a bit sad because the game is amazing, but feels like a really in depth demo atm. I wish there were more storylines/quests to go on. Just for example, if you wanted to streamline straight to the boss, you'd only need to fight 6 battles with no scenes in between.

Pros: - Kanna is super cute, great voice acting and h scenes (only 11 base cg feel a bit low however) - If you like card game, this game can offer a lot of challenges - All cgs can be unlock right away in settings Cons: - There are only 8 fights in the game and the story is really short, I wish there are more content

This game's pretty dope.

an absurdly escalating card game where the short number of fights. fight an enemy that buffs itself, debuffs you and has more than 100x the starting health of your basic attack cards by playing your entire 20 card deck almost every turn, while continuing to escalate your buffs. is only about 2 hours though. purchase with that in mind
