Its very, very AI heavy game and despite use of AI dev says next update gonna drop in december, which makes the time gap between last update around 10 MONTHS. That kind of time gap isnt acceptable even you dont use anykind of AI during the development process, and you can easily say with even looking at the store page pictures this game is nearly all AI in terms of art, so how in the blue earth is that takes 10 MONTHS to release an update is beyond me. I would say that stay away from this one until it gets a full release.

As much as I thought I was goin to enjoy this game, I really couldn't. The choices you make are basically irrelevant, the art is almost all AI generated with so many inconsistencies it hurts to even look at. I'm all for someone using AI as a tool to help along, especially if its a solo dev, but this is to much. The writing is lazy, the scenes are there but feel forced, and it just feels thrown together without much care for what the players/community will think about it. Hopefully the dev will build it out better but as it sits now I can't suggest buying the game in its current state.

Yes, the adult content helps, but there are plenty of games offering attractive characters and sex scenes. Most of them are little more than dating simulators where you talk to three women, give them gifts, and wait for their clothes to disappear. Moonripple Lake! actually gives you characters, relationships, mysteries, jokes, world-building, and a proper story. The game follows an established couple who move due to some unfortunate investments in NFTs and cryptocurrency which leaves them searching for cheap rent and new jobs. Their mutual best friend eventually joins them, and the three become involved in what can best be described as H. P. Lovecraft meeting Scooby-Doo at an adults-only summer resort.
