MoonWhite (月白) is a game that can truly be summarized by its store page description. There are no extraneous mechanics. Simply, time your key press to the rhythm of the martial dance. Not many games can successfully capture the 'art' in 'martial arts' but I think 月白 certainly makes a meaningful effort to do so. That being said, the experience is blissfully short. You can complete the entire game in less than half an hour, which is almost blasphemous for me as one who often weighs the purchase price vs. playtime that I can extract from a game. Nonetheless, games like 月白 serve as a reminder that gameplay length is only one aspect in what makes an experience truly meaningful & worthwhile. On a side note, I do have a minor nitpick that I feel compelled to advocate for. I disagree with the translation of '仙' as 'elf / elves'. In my opinion, it creates an inaccurate association with the fantasy / Tolkein-inspired elves of European literature. The usage of 仙 in the Xianxia (仙侠) genre refers to beings who are transcendent, immortal, or enlightened, etc. Qualities of which, can be cultivated through training or innate supernatural talent. Loved the game and the zen mode. I just wish some combos were better communicated because it took me out of the experience of going 3minute zen :( That and Blanc wiffing some attacks for no reason.1 found this helpful

cute game
Really nice game. Short and sweet with beautiful animation for your movements. It's cheap so there isn't a reason not to buy it.
This game is composed of everything I love. It’s absolutely beautiful. Not only is it my favorite game of the year, but I’ve just encountered a masterpiece that ranks among the very best I’ve played in my 45 years of gaming! Thank you for this wonderful encounter.
