About Rorschach Plus

Rorschach Plus is a precise, experimental puzzle platformer where you use paint to reveal your surroundings. Platforming through the levels is only half the challenge, the other is figuring out exactly what you're platforming through. Originally conceived by WhyCardBoard as a submission for a game jam in 2019, the game has been redesigned, refined, and tweaked into the version it is today.
Here's what you need to know. Rorschach Plus has:
- more than 70 puzzle-platforming challenges to conquer
- 14 fresh achievements
- a funky chiptune soundtrack by Rolemusic
- the same creator who made "Crate Succ," so you know it's gotta be good
- an achievement for cheating
- a concept entirely based on an idea that I stole from one of the funny little people in my phone
"You know Fortnite? This is that, but better."
What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise Rorschach's unique art style and drawing mechanic as an interesting concept that works well for a short precision platformer, with most finding it enjoyable for the price. However, common complaints include that the drawing gimmick feels more like a tedious chore than a meaningful gameplay element, the game is quite short with limited replayability, and frustrating design choices like having to redraw maps repeatedly after dying or using separate buttons for short and long jumps.
Rorschach's journal: January 19, 2021 On Tuesday night, a new video game got released, based solely on my true existence. You can paint the levels like how I painted my face. This will be the riddle to solve the clues behind Pyramid's corrupt organization. Like in all games and movies, there's good and there is evil, and evil must be punished. Even in the face of Armageddon. Never compromise. Never back down. Rorschach's entry, of the video game "Rorschach". Signed by Rorschach himself Good joke. Everybody laugh. *roll on snare drum* *curtains*2 found this helpful
Disclaimer: My scores/reviews are almost always based on having bought the game at close to the "lowest historical price" on steam at time of purchase. Quick score: 3/5 Notes: Pretty basic platformer with a decent art style and a visual gimmick. Unfortunately the gimmick isn't really used in any interesting ways and is just kind of a pre-level chore you need to complete before actually playing the game. Difficulty is maybe average or slightly below and the game can be completed in about 30 minutes without any real replayability. Wouldn't recommend playing the game with a controller, so avoid if that is your intent. Also another annoyance worth mentioning. For some reason rather than have a variable jump button, you have 2 seperate jump buttons for short and long. Not great but not bad. For .49 cents sure why not.2 found this helpful
Fun concept, decent challenges and does not overstay its welcome. What can be frustrating is having to redraw the same map over and over when you die - wish we could keep the last draw attempt and get a redraw/clean slate button, if we feel we can do better this time. Overall recommended, a nice little precision puzzle-platformer gem!
I really had a lot of fun with this platformer and for the price, you really can't complain. I don't want to give too much away. If the pictures make you curious, then give the game a chance.
