Pyramids and Aliens: Escape Room

The game has some fun puzzles, but the problem with the game is that the vast majority of the puzzles requires you to take screen shots over various pieces of information and refence them to solve them, there are also no tools in-game to allow this and the game does not have borderless windowed to allow easy alt tabbing. If you don't have two monitors or have a photographic memory don't buy this game. The other complain is I got to the final section of puzzles and the game soft locked me into a room I cannot get out of and even editing game files does not fix the issue rendering it permanently incompletable. It's a shame because this was my favourite mc2 game for the first half of it (very good puzzles, setting and atmosphere), but as soon as i entered the alien temple, it seemed like all the puzzles in it were not interactable. At the beginning i thought that this was intended, with the professor preceding you and solving every puzzle before you, but judging from the achievements and the dev guide, it seems i got a bug that kicked me out from half of the content in the game and let me in the ending room (you can't even reload because the game autosaves on your playthrough slot in the final room with the door closing behind you). As it is now, I cannot recommend it for this reason. Shame, it was really fun while it lasted :(

Loved this puzzle game. Very creative: and a few of the puzzles really challenged me but I was able to complete the entire game without any cheats or help - though it did take quite some time to figure out the solutions to a few of them. Highly recommended!

While a fun puzzler i'm gonna give it a negative review just because of one bug that stoped me from finishing a puzzle, see spoilers [spoiler]While in the laboratory with the three cloning tanks, the heartbeat missaligned for me so I could not see what the line was hitting. Changing the screen resolution from 3440x1440 to lower aligns the heartbeat[/spoiler]

Really enjoyed the game, on the whole would recommend it. I didn't get stuck too much, when I did, had a break, came back and the answer presented itself with fresh eyes. Pros - great graphics loved the aesthetic and setting - puzzles were logical, good environmental clues - game flow was very good - original puzzles Cons - Couple of the puzzles were janky - dragging and dropping items to the was problematic, you had to be pixel perfect - looking at you "put the box in the scanner" and cartouche thing - A bit of to-ing and fro-ing to get stuff done, i took screenshots, without that would have been much less fun, a notebook/journal in game would be good. - got stuck on the scenery a lot whilst going from room to room in the penultimate room Overall though i had a very good time playing this, got it on sale, good value .
