Tricky Madness

feel like i was duped by a twitter psyop into thinking this looked fun.. but none of it is actually cohesive and misses on all the aspects that made ssx (the inspiration for this game) good. I understand this is an indie game and they don't have ssx resources, but I also understand that this game just isnt really good yet.

This is a really solid tech demo and pretty much nothing more. It's clear this dev has a passion for SSX, 1080, and snowboarding arcade classics, and the gameplay hits so well for that niche, but I ran out of content within 30 minutes of starting the game. There's 4 maps, with freestyle, time attack, and race modes, and thats about it. I get this is early access but come on man this barely counts as a demo.

for the little time i had so far i think this is a great game for that hit of nostalgia im wanting out of a SSX like game this is it if you want to feel that same hit also. BUT i feel like its missing something, something that just gives it that extra Kick... so far its a fantastic game and cant wait for more runs amazing as well! i rate this personally a 8/10.

It could become the spiritual successor to SSX we've been waiting for, it's got the same vibes and all. BUT I have to say the auto boost mechanic takes away the fun. You can't save up boost to catch up to opponents, rails are slow and going into ramps is slow, can't catch up to opponents if you get knocked down. Secondly, nose/back press should be on right analog stick, or at least be mappable to it, so you don't jump by mistake when you want to press and vice versa. Punches should be on your trigger buttons. Don't do the same mistakes as EA. The old formula was perfect. There's potential, but I can't quite recommend it yet.

Bringing my childhood game SSX back to life with this one; absolutely love it, even in early access. Its fun, and I can either chill and practice tricks or race against the NPCs. I cant wait for the campaign and multiplayer to be added, even if that means waiting for the full release. Take as much time as you need with this game, I've already put in about 8 hours and I'm not bored in the slightest. It really is great so far.
