About Hoomanz!
Coming Soon: Mac support + Localization for Japanese, Chinese-simplified, Korean, ItalianHoomanz! is a stealth-adventure game packed with coziness and humour, featuring non-combat gameplay & family-friendly content. Play as Shoo, the mythical guardian of Planet Erf with a hidden dual nature, to scare away all the ignorant invading Hoomanz. Darkness is nature’s friend, light is its enemy.
On planet Erf, darkness is nature’s friend and light is its enemy. As Shoo you must navigate through the dark, otherwise you’ll get chased and squished with a hug!Dark Shoo: Fierce, fast, scary and fully prepared to deal with the Hoomanz.Light Shoo: Slow, vulnerable, cute and extremely huggable… and Shoo hates hugs.Don’t let them catch you!
When you scare a Hooman, they’ll get yeeted off the planet – you’re just that scary (or they’re just that fragile). But it’s not as easy as it sounds – You must stress the Hooman first. You do that using the environment and its tools.
Lure them with a cute purrr, throw bottles, snap twigs, sabotage lights, frozen yeti jumpscares, dance around dangerous traps… Shoo’s toolkit is full of mischief. There’s no “right” way to scare off a Hooman, so get inventive!
Dash to get out of a sticky situation, or to simply explore the whimsical atmosphere of planet Erf’s nature. Champion through dash obstacle courses to save creatures and more.
As you progress through the story, your environment will get more harsh, puzzles harder and the need to save planet Erf even more dire!
The game is packed with humour. From idle Hoomanz playing the banjo (if you can call it that), slipping on ice and generally making weird sounds, to cute underpants, their panicked waddling, hilarious screams (recorded by us Koffeecuppers) and much much more!

this little game is without a doubt a hiddem gem and different from everything!! its a mix of hide and seek with scaring people using jumpscares. to sum it up you play as a super cute little creature but in the dark it becomes scary and can scream to scare people away, but if they see you with any kind of light (like a flashlight or any source of light) they find you adorable and grab you. so the objective is to move through the shadows and use different tactics to scare everyone in your path until you clear the level. its a casual game but it has its own difficulties and challenges, its focused on puzzles in this style mixing stealth with scare strategies :322 found this helpful
The game is not perfect, but in the end I would rate it as 7/10. The bad: I really with the game had a map for each level and a free camera. From time to time it was difficult to know where to go next. I wish there was more ways to bait and scare the enemy as what we had in game, albeit good (mostly), was a bit limited to the point I feel most of the game I was cheesing it The good: It feels GOOD when you successfully scare away an enemy and REALLY GOOD as the number of scared enemies gets closer to the final number. The levels were proper headscratchers (in a good sense) The game is perfectly playable on Steam Deck
this game is so cute! the puzzles are not too easy or difficult. family friendly too! i def recommend this game!
Final Score: 9.5/10 A surprisingly excellent, tightly-designed, and utterly charming game that far exceeded my expectations. A must-play for fans of clever, skill-based puzzle games. I received this game for free through a streamer program, and I'll be honest, I was initially hesitant to play it due to the concept. When the day finally came, I went live with low expectations, and I was completely shocked by how good it was! The game strikes a perfect difficulty balance; it's just challenging enough to make you want to immediately try again where you failed. It's a clever mix of semi-puzzle solving and skillz, where your goal is to find ways to scare those pesky hoomanz away before they hug the cuteness out of you! Even though I loved it, I do wish it were a bit longer. My playthrough, including constant chatter with viewers, took about 3 hours and 15 minutes. For the trophy hunters out there, don't worry, I managed to get most of the achievements naturally during my run. The remaining two were easy clean-up, making it a fun and completely grind-free experience. By the end, I'd even come to love the cute aesthetic that originally turned me off. I genuinely enjoyed every part of …
Cute, adorable, fun. Can't blame the Hoomanz for wanting to cuddle the little fella to death.
It's a nice relaxing game. Saw and wishlisted it at Gamescom 2024, I think. Consider, that the recommendation for playing with Controller is spot on. The game has been designed for that, That's its nature and if you play with keyboard, like me, then sometimes there will be a challenging time with moving in precise directions. This is not negative, just a fact. My only criticism is about the Music. It's enjoyable but repetitive and after a short while I needed to turn it off.
